I got a spotless and bright room with central heating, a microwave oven, and a refrigerator. Got exceptionally comfortable bed and big bathroom. The best part were the affable and welcoming staff. The location was stunning and incredible, really close to Makarora, a pub at the end of the road that did decent food, and the bridge. It also was far away from everything else.

We definitely got great value for our money at this hidden gem of a hotel. The room was spacious, clean, and had all the necessary amenities. The location was fine, with amazing views of snowcapped peaks in every direction. The staff treated us with excellent hospitality, making us feel welcome and ensuring we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.
The breakfast option could benefit from having more cutlery available, such as forks and sharp knives. As the hotel is located in a remote area, it would have been convenient to have these utensils readily available, especially arriving late and bringing their own food.

The decoration of the hotel was charming and had a cozy feel, with beautiful mountain-themed artwork and warm colors. The general areas were well-maintained and had comfortable seating, making it easy for us seniors to relax and enjoy the surroundings. The hotel's accessibility was excellent, with ramps and handrails in place, making it safe and easy for us to navigate.
I would have asked for better signage in the hotel's common areas to help navigate my way around. It can be confusing sometimes, especially for us older folks, and a little more guidance from the children working there would have been appreciated.

We had a fantastic stay at this cozy motel tucked away in a peaceful rural setting. the room was immaculate and beautifully decorated, with a comfortable double and single bed. We loved the little balcony that offered breathtaking views of the mountains and valley, perfect for enjoying the sunset. the owner provided us with helpful information prior to arrival and the basic cooking facilities allowed us to enjoy our own meals on the balcony. the location was remote, but that added to the charm and it felt like a romantic mountain getaway. the warm electric blankets kept us snug, and the lack of TV wasn't a problem for us. it felt like a brand new property with a true sense of tranquility. Cons: Nothing 🙌.

Our stay at Mountainview Makarora Accommodation was good. The location was perfect for exploring the beautiful surroundings. The views from the room and the elevated deck were amazing. The room wasnice and neat with a huge and cozy bed. The owners were friendly and helpful, providing us with great tips and advice. The lack of TV was not an issue at all, as we were captivated by the fine natural beauty all around. The wifi was reliable, a plus since there was no cellphone reception in the area. we had a wonderful experience and would definitely stay here again in the future.

Ideal location for exploring glaciers and Queenstown. Kenna & Rick were delightful hosts. Loved the luggage storage and electric kettle. The healing wairua at Mountainview Makarora was amazing! Enjoyed free parking and the extra perk of a washing machine.
Oh, how I despised the lack of TV! Who needs entertainment when you have dreamy mountain views and nature all around?

What a hidden gem! This cozy mountain cabin was the perfect getaway for a peaceful and romantic weekend. the beautiful mountain views from the veranda were truly breathtaking, especially during sunset. It felt like we were in the middle of nowhere, yet it was conveniently located just a short distance from the road. the bed was incredibly comfortable and we loved having the tea and coffee facilities, as well as basic crockery and cutlery for our use. the place looked newly renovated and everything was clean and immaculate.
Since the accommodation is located in a remote area, it is important to arrive with food if you plan on eating in. Unfortunately, we arrived late and didn't have any forks, which was a minor inconvenience.
